4 days Tanzania safari tour package - Mikumi/Selous
4 Days Mikumi and Selous Tanzania Safari is a Perfect Tanzania Southern Adventure Safari for Private groups, Solo travelers and Family safari.
Day 1: Dar es salaam to Mikumi
We depart at 5:30 a.m from Dar es salaam via Morogoro and Chalinze with picnic lunch pack.
Continue with drive to Mikumi and after 5 or 6 hours you will come across lions, elands, hartebeest, buffalos, wildebeest, giraffe, zebras, elephants, wild dogs and many species of birds.
We proceeding with full day game drive, viewing at Mikumi national park you will see all species of animal and birds, Due to its Savannah plain animal at Mikumi are easily accessed and it takes only 4 to 5 hours to finish a game at Mikumi national park.
We drive to Bastian camp for Full board accommodation.
Day 2: Maasai culture at Mikumi - drive to Selous
After breakfast and the traditional of Maasai at 0900hrs drive to Selous Game Reserve, it take 7 to 8 hours.
You will have picnic lunch on the way and the journey will take about 7hours through the most unexplored and untouched areas in Tanzania.
Meals and overnight will be at African safari camp.
Day 3: Selous drive and Boat safari
Today we will be spening on game viewing in the Game Reserve and at evening you will make a boat safari for 2 to 3 hours.
We wiil have picnic lunch and drinks in the wilderness before heading back to camp for dinner and overnight to the gentle grunting of the Camp.
Boat safari are also the best excursions for bird enthusiasts
The Selous has over 350 bird species, and the river is the place where they congregate in great numbers and are easily seen in the open environment.
You might also want to try your luck with the ferocious tiger fish, and weighty catfish that live in the waters in abundance.
Day 4: Walking safari at Selous and drive back to Dar es salaam
Early Morning we have breakfast at the camp and start a sunrise bush walking.
Walking safari are a fantastic way to get close to nature and learn more about the smaller species and the bush itself.
The walks take about 2-3 hours long.
Usually walks leave camp at 6:00AM-6:30 AM after having a cup of tea and some homemade biscuits or doughnut.
