The itinerary for 5 days Kilimanjaro bike trekking/cycling tour via Marangu route
Kilimanjaro cycling trek gives tourists a new way of experiencing Kilimanjaro adventure. Kilema route is the only route that Bike trek to Kilimanjaro can reach to the top by mountain bike.
Arrival for 5 days Kilimanjaro bike trekking tour via Marangu route
Once you land at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will meet aour friendly and charming driver who will be ready to transfer you to the hotel
You will also meet with one of our operations staff and Guide who will explain everything you need to know regarding your trek and check all your equipment.
Day 1: Marangu/Kilema gate-Horombo hut
We will depart early from Moshi and head to Marangu gate, there we will spend few minutes on registration and then ride to Kilema gate
After Kilema gate and entering the Kilimanjaro national park we will head for Horombo hut
Kilema gate to Horombo hut Cycling Distance: 19km Habitat: Forest and Moorland.
Day 2: Acclimatization day
This day you will do acclimatization from Horombo hut to Zebra and back to Horombo Hut. After breakfast you will start cycling and riding through Alpine desert and some small stone areas and then come back to Horombo hut.
Horombo hut to Zebra Cycling Distance: 10 km Habitat: Alpine desert.
Day 3: Horombo hut to Kibo hut (4703m)
You will start riding after having breakfast, from Horombo hut to Kibo hut you will ride in small stones in most of the area.

Day 4: Kibo-Uhuru (5895m) - Horombo hut (3720m)
Very early in the morning (around midnight), we begin our push to the summit.
We will start the zigzag trek up to long screen slop. After roughly 2hrs you will reach Hans Meyer’s Cave and from here the gradients get steeper.
We will continue to climb for Gilman’s point. From there you will start riding to Uhuru peak, we arrive at Uhuru Peak- the highest point on Mount Kilimanjaro and the Continent of Africa.
After spending a few moments taking in the plains of Africa and your accomplishment, we will ride down to Stella point where we will take our lunch break. After lunch we will ride to Horombo Hut.
Day 5: Horombo hut - Kilema gate - Moshi
After a heart breakfast, we will make our final riding down to Kilema gate. Once at the park headquarters at Marangu gate, we collect our summit certificates.Finally we will drive back to the hotel in Moshi.
